Students who are on the path to become a star surgeon can apply now to the Dr. Leonard Hochstein Grant for a chance to win $1,000 grant which will be awarded to a single student.
To apply, you should be a current student who is studying medicine at a university in the United States or high school student that will attend university and who is studying to become a medical doctor. The grant is further targeted to those students who wish to become surgeons and and have potential to become a star.
We will award the scholarship based on an essay competition. We will select one winner based on a creative essay of under 1000 words which addresses the following:
“Being a surgeon is highly rewarding, but also carries a heavy responsibility. How would you use your skills to set yourself apart from your peers?”
